Meet the new Pastor and family at FBC Lordsburg. Pastor Marshall and wife Crystal and kids (from left to right): Marshall Jr, Ramiah, Monica, Marcus, and Leland. WELCOME to Southwest New Mexico Coleman family! We will be praying for you and your new ministry.
One of the great rewards of this ministry is that I get to spend time with individuals like these Pastors and Leaders of the Rio Grande Baptist Association at least once a month to pray and fellowship together. It is a wonderful blessing!
SUMMER CAMPS & VBS FUN PICTURES
A lot of our kids from SWBA & RGBA were able to learn about God's love and salvation in Christ this summer through our different children and student camps at Inlow and Sivell's Camps. Thanks to everyone who gave of your resources, gifts, time, and/or helped with fundraisers to make this happen!
I was able to visit with Pastor Thad and Real Life Church as well as Pastor Derek and Thrive City Church during their summer WinShape Camp as they shared the gospel with kids from all over their community. A couple of funny looking stragglers also popped in 🙂
East Mesa Baptist and Iglesia Bautista Buenas Nuevas and special guest, Pastor Manny and Bertha Longoria from First Bilingual Baptist in Albuquerque, partnered this year to do Vacation Bible School to share the gospel and reach families in their community this summer.

SUPPORT 4 VENEZUELA
You are probably aware of the devastating earthquakes that recently happened in Venezuela. You and your congregation have probably been inundated with requests for donations from all manner of organizations, some legitimate and some suspect. However, many of your people may not realize that Southern Baptists have a Disaster Response agency where they can be assured that their donations will legitimately support response and recovery efforts in Venezuela, or wherever disasters strike.
SEND RELIEF responds to incidents around the world, is led by Southern Baptists, and engages Southern Baptists in their home country as well as established, trusted International Partners in times of crisis. Their overhead is already provided through a partnership with the North American Mission Board and the International Mission Board. Everything that is sent for a response goes to the field to help individuals recover from disasters and churches to faithfully minister in their communities.
Would you please consider sharing this with your congregation?
You will find a video, prayer guide, and additional links with information about how Send Relief is responding! Thank you for being partners in this work together!

I'm working on a 1-2 hour presentation that will teach and explain the Cooperative Program and its amazing impact around the world. If you would like for me to come to your church or small group, please give me a call. I believe that as our churches are informed, the more people we can reach for Christ together!
New Mexico Secretary of State
Church Annual Non-Profit Reports
The Secretary of State's office of the state of New Mexico requires every domestic non-profit organization (ie. all churches) to file an annual report in order to maintain their corporate status. This report must be filed online and, for most churches, are due by May 15. Please check and make sure your church has filed this since the SOS office no longer sends reminder cards.
This filing is very important. If the church doesn’t file this report for two years, it is put on probation and after another year the corporation status will be revoked. This means that your church is not allowed to issue contribution records, every member of the church becomes liable, the church is not allowed to have a tax-exempt status, must pay property taxes, etc. In order to be re-instated, the church must file a new set of Articles of Incorporation.
You can check the Secretary of State’s website at sos.nm.gov to check your status and file your report. Note that you will have to have a username and password, but it is not specific to your church. If you do not have the one used before, you can simply create a new one.

- Reservation Partnership: Partner with a Native American church to help them reach their community with the gospel through firewood distribution.
- For logistics and scheduling a time to pick up firewood, contact Clay Pope at cpope@bcnm.com.

IMMIGRATION RECENT ISSUES
Churches have a long history of providing sanctuary to immigrants and others. However, the recent policy for enforcing immigration laws in sensitive locations such as in churches has changed. The Department of Justice in the State of New Mexico has provided a document to assist New Mexico's places of worship in responding to immigration issues.

These skills reinforce the biblical roll of men in the home and society, and will be shared
promoting the biblical principles of confidence, compassion, character and respect.

Celebrate Recovery is for EVERYONE! No one should have to face their pain alone. A safe place for people to find freedom from the issues controlling their lives. It is a biblically based approach to help individuals achieve long lasting recovery by healing hurts, guiding toward new healthy truths, and developing life-giving habits
You and your church don't necessarily need to begin a ministry or reinvent the wheel that is already at work sharing the gospel and meeting the needs of your local community. These ministries have already done the groundwork and even been given an open door at strategic places and have been accepted by the people they are ministering to. For the most part, these ministries are also in need of volunteers and financial support. Bless each other by partnering and serving your local community together!
At Your Service
My hope and prayer for these newsletters is to keep all of us updated on the Kingdom work that is being done in the SouthWest region of New Mexico. God is at work always and He has us serving together in this area for such a time as this. Let’s partner together to reach all of New Mexico with the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and let’s see God’s mighty goodness all around us! Always remember that we are on the same team – God’s team!
Let me know how I or any of our BCNM staff can serve you and the wonderful church family you are a part of. It is our privilege and joy. God bless you!
Please email any testimonies, events, pictures & info of a particular outreach, mission trip or special event, and flyers of workshops, conferences, or trainings that others may benefit from and that you would like me to share in future newsletters to lolmos@bcnm.com
