“Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord” - Luke 2:10–11
*THIS MONTH'S SPECIAL*
RGBA Special Called Business Meeting
On behalf of the Rio Grande Baptist Association Director of Missions Search Committee and Administrative Team, we would like to unanimously recommend Dusty Marshall for the position of Director of Missions for the Rio Grande Baptist Association.
After the DOM Search Committee did an extensive search process, that included reviewing numerous resumes and conducting interviews with several qualified candidates, it became clear that Dusty stands out above the rest. Dusty displayed a deep understanding of both the spiritual and practical needs of our churches. His heart for missions, his proven experience in ministry leadership and his ability to cast and implement a unifying vision all align with the values and mission of the Rio Grande Baptist Association. We are confident that his leadership will strengthen cooperation among our churches and foster continued growth in gospel impact.
The Administrative Team met with Dusty and this comes in agreement with the DOM Search Committee as a unanimous recommendation that we call Dusty Marshall as our new DOM.
We would like to invite you to a Special Called Business meeting on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, 11:30 am at Christian Challenge to meet Dusty and vote on this unanimous recommendation. We will provide lunch so if you would let Linda Edwards in the Association office know how many will be attending from your church, it would be greatly appreciated.

What is the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering®?
In 1873, Lottie Moon was appointed as a missionary to China. She spent nearly 40 years sharing the gospel with love, courage, and unwavering faith. Her letters inspired churches to pray and give, leading to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions. Today, this offering supports missionaries and helps take the life-transforming message of Jesus to the nations. Let’s honor her legacy by praying and giving so others can hear the hope of the gospel.
You can find resources to promote the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering in your church like banners, bulletin inserts, videos, children's resources, and more at https://www.imb.org/lmco-resources/
Join us for two special Meet a Missionary Zoom calls on Monday, December 1st. It's the first day of the Week of Prayer for International Missions and WMU is hosting a Zoom call at Noon and 6:00 p.m.
Speak directly with Randy, Joan, and Glennda and hear about their personal journey. Listen to inspiring stories of faith, service, and transformation. Ask questions about missions, culture, and daily life abroad. Pray together for their ministry and the communities they serve.

IMMIGRATION RECENT ISSUES
Churches have a long history of providing sanctuary to immigrants and others. However, the recent policy for enforcing immigration laws in sensitive locations such as in churches has changed. The Department of Justice in the State of New Mexico has provided a document to assist New Mexico's places of worship in responding to immigration issues.

You and your church don't necessarily need to begin a ministry or reinvent the wheel that is already at work sharing the gospel and meeting the needs of your local community. These ministries have already done the groundwork and even been given an open door at strategic places and have been accepted by the people they are ministering to. For the most part, these ministries are also in need of volunteers and financial support. Bless each other by partnering and serving your local community together!
At Your Service
My hope and prayer for these newsletters is to keep all of us updated on the Kingdom work that is being done in the SouthWest region of New Mexico. God is at work always and He has us serving together in this area for such a time as this. Let’s partner together to reach all of New Mexico with the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and let’s see God’s mighty goodness all around us! Always remember that we are on the same team – God’s team!
Let me know how I or any of our BCNM staff can serve you and the wonderful church family you are a part of. It is our privilege and joy. God bless you!
Please email any testimonies, events, pictures & info of a particular outreach, mission trip or special event, and flyers of workshops, conferences, or trainings that others may benefit from and that you would like me to share in future newsletters to lolmos@bcnm.com
